Do I Believe In God?
Yes. Yes I do. But I believe in the god that I believe exists. That is not necessarily the one you believe exists. My god is creation. The creator of the universe. But that could well mean they are you and me. Take a moment to wrap your head around this. If god is the creator, then god is you. Because you are the creator. It is your energy and perspective that creates the universe you live. If you choose to wake up today and be angry, the world around you will reflect this. The interactions, the experiences, the situations, will reflect this. But if you instead change in a moment to happy, then the world changes around you. What you come into contact with then changes. You have shaped your existence and by extension your universe. The reality of you being angry is no more. So all the interactions, experiences and situations are no more.
It’s ok to struggle to comprehend this. All i ask is you don’t dismiss it because you cannot comprehend it. It takes time to sink in and integrate. Until this moment, you may just have let your fears frame your answer to the question “do i believe in god?” Perhaps you fear death and so you decide if heaven exists. Perhaps you fear consequence and so you decide if hell or evil exists. Perhaps you fall foul of temptation, and so you ponder if the devil exists. These fears then shape you answer to that question. Without those fears, you don’t look for an answer from the world around you. Without those fears you only look inside you. When you do this, you realise you are confident and abundant. This means you have the power.
The longer answer to this question is perhaps yes I do believe in god, and I believe in all of them at once. Across every religion. For me, they are all parts of my reality that hold a space. That space is to accept there is a creator (which helped me see it is me). That our life beyond this one continues (it accepts me the soul has a mission connected to a bigger picture. But it also helps me understand we are all different and need a different god sometimes. Now with this last point I don’t mean that those gods then are to believed in. But they are clearly showing up so that we can accept that there isn’t one god. There isn’t one god, because we are all god. We all have a different mission and a different reason to create.
But there is more to unpack with this question. You don’t want to know if I believe in god. You really want to know if I believe there is a being in the sky, or an afterlife, or a person to worship or pray to. And I do. I believe all these things. But once again, they are all you and me. I have a higher self in the sky waiting for me to transcend to. My soul has a mission beyond this life that I will go on to. I manifest my own existence. So who do I pray to? Me of course.
The short answer and the long answer to this question are the same yes. The simplicity of the realisation is it is me and you. It is all of us. You need only accept one thing, your soul, not your physical body, is on a mission. That mission’s current part is here on earth. Only your soul knows when it is done. But rest assured, it will be for the exact reason you are here.
