Everything is Energy: Why Shamans and Scientists Agree

Welcome to my new blog series: Beyond Space and Shadow — Ancient Wisdom Meets Quantum Truth.

This series explores the fascinating meeting point between modern quantum physics and ancient shamanic wisdom. While they may seem like very different worlds, both reveal the same underlying truth: reality is not as solid or separate as we were taught. Instead, it is fluid, interconnected, and deeply alive.

Each post will blend science, spirituality, and practical tools to help you not only understand these ideas but also apply them in your own journey of identity and healing.

This week, we begin with the foundation: Everything is Energy — Why Shamans and Scientists Agree.

Most of us were raised to see the world as solid. The table feels solid, the floor beneath us feels solid, and our body feels solid. But the deeper you look, the more that picture begins to unravel. Science now tells us that nothing is truly solid. What we call “matter” is mostly empty space, with tiny packets of energy vibrating in constant motion.

This insight is not just a scientific revelation, it’s also an ancient truth. For thousands of years, shamans across cultures have described the world as alive, conscious, and filled with spirit. Every rock, river, and tree carries its own vibration.

At first glance, quantum physics and shamanism may seem worlds apart. One speaks in equations, the other in stories and symbols. But both point to the same reality: everything is energy.

The Science of Energy: What Quantum Physics Reveals

Quantum physics has shown us that the universe is not made of solid building blocks, but of energy fields and vibrations.

  • Atoms are 99.999% empty space.

  • The particles inside them are not fixed objects, but dynamic packets of energy.

  • What looks solid is really a dance of vibrating fields interacting with one another.

This means that when you look at a table, what you see as solid wood is, at its core, energy in motion. Even your body, skin, muscles, bones, is made of trillions of atoms humming with frequency.

Physicists often describe reality as a “quantum field”, a vast energetic ocean where particles blink in and out of existence. Or, to put it simply: everything is vibration.

The Ancient Wisdom: Shamanism’s Living Universe

Long before modern science, shamans understood reality through direct experience. In animistic traditions, everything is alive, not metaphorically, but literally. The river has a spirit. The mountain has a voice. The stone holds memory.

To a shaman, energy is not just an abstract principle but something you can feel and work with. By entering altered states of consciousness, shamans connect with the energetic essence of plants, animals, and landscapes. They may seek guidance from the spirit of a tree, or healing from the energy of fire.

When a shaman says, “This river is alive,” they are describing the same truth that a physicist explains by saying, “This water is made of vibrating molecules.” Two different lenses, one reality.

A Story: The Drumbeat of the Universe

Imagine striking a drum. You hear a sound, but what’s really happening is vibration. The drumhead moves, the air around it ripples, and those ripples reach your ears. Your body resonates with the sound.

Now zoom out. The entire universe is like that drum. Every atom, every star, every heartbeat is vibrating, contributing to a cosmic rhythm. The world is not static; it’s a vast symphony of energy.

When shamans use drumming in ceremony, they are not just making music, they are tuning into the deeper drumbeat of the universe, aligning themselves with the vibration that underlies everything.

Why This Matters for Identity and Healing

So why does “everything is energy” matter for your daily life?

Because if all of reality is vibration, then your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs are vibrations too.

  • Hold onto fear, and your life begins to feel unsafe.

  • Hold onto gratitude, and life starts to reflect that warmth back to you.

  • Carry unhealed wounds, and those vibrations ripple through your relationships, choices, and identity.

This doesn’t mean forcing yourself to “stay positive.” True transformation comes from observing and shifting the deeper vibrations, the hidden patterns, the unprocessed emotions, the shadow that has never been brought to light.

This is the heart of my work as an identity coach. I guide people to uncover the frequencies shaping their lives, the limiting beliefs, the old wounds, the silent stories, and help them shift at the root. When your vibration changes, your identity changes.

A Simple Energy Awareness Practice

Here’s a practice you can try right now to experience this truth directly:

  1. Pick up a natural object — a stone, a leaf, or even a cup of water.

  2. Close your eyes and hold it in your hand.

  3. Take a few deep breaths and silently ask: “Show me your vibration.”

  4. Notice any sensations, images, or emotions that arise. Don’t force anything, just observe.

  5. Write down a few lines in your journal about what you felt.

This simple act trains your awareness to perceive energy in everyday objects. Over time, you may begin to sense the subtle vibrations of places, people, and even your own thoughts.

Science and Spirit: Two Languages of Truth

It’s easy to imagine science and spirituality as opposites. But when you step back, you see that both are trying to describe the same mystery.

Science uses measurement and mathematics. Shamanism uses story and experience. Both are languages for reality. And when you bring them together, you gain a fuller picture, one that is both rational and soulful, analytical and embodied.

The truth is simple: everything is energy. Once you grasp this, you realise your identity is not fixed, heavy, or set in stone. It is fluid, vibrating, alive. And that means it can change.

Closing Thought

When you understand that everything is energy, life becomes less about controlling the external and more about attuning your internal vibration. Healing is not about pretending to be positive, but about listening to the hidden frequencies within yourself and learning how to shift them.

Your identity is not who you’ve always been told you are, it’s the vibration you carry. And when that vibration changes, so does your reality.

If you’re ready to go deeper into this bridge between science and spirit, and to rewire the energy of your own identity, I invite you to explore my coaching work. Together, we’ll uncover the hidden vibrations shaping your life and shift them, so you can step into your truest self.
